Best Times to Travel

 

Travel off-peak when crossing from shore to shore. The best times to cross the Bay Bridge on weekends include:

  • Friday
    • Eastbound before 10 a.m. & after 9 p.m.
    • Westbound before 10 a.m. & after 8 p.m.
  • Saturday
    • Eastbound before 7 a.m. & after 6 p.m.
    • Westbound before 9 a.m. & after 7 p.m.
  • Sunday
    • Eastbound before 10 a.m. & after 7 p.m.
    • Westbound before 11 a.m. & after 10 p.m.

Avoid distractions, maintain a safe following distance and follow posted speed limits. Motorists should stay on US 50 on both sides of the bridge to keep local roadways open for first responders and residents.
